2024年6月13日上午，Angewandte Chemie杂志执行委员会成员Dr. Charlotte Gers-Panther应邀在转化医学STAR论坛上作了题为“Scientific Publishing – A Peek into the Editorial Office and Beyond”的精彩报告。本次论坛由上海交通大学化学化工学院李茜研究员主持。来自化学化工学院、生物医学工程学院、材料科学与工程学院、转化医学研究院等单位的师生前来参会。

在报告中，Dr. Charlotte Gers-Panther首先回顾了Wiley-VCH集团的发展史，并详细介绍了集团旗下在化学和材料科学领域享有盛誉的系列期刊，包括Angewandte Chemie、Advanced Materials、Small等。之后向与会师生分享了稿件分类、筛选与处理的严谨流程，解释了审稿人的挑选标准，以及如何依据审稿意见做出编辑决策。此外，Dr. Charlotte Gers-Panther也向师生们传授了撰写高质量科研论文的宝贵经验，强调了论文标题应当精准，语言表述应该简练清晰。

报告结束后，现场师生与Dr. Charlotte Gers-Panther积极互动，就投稿和审稿过程中的常见问题，如期刊选择、编辑决策等进行了深入交流。

主讲人介绍

Dr. Charlotte Gers-Panther studied chemistry at the Heinrich-Heine-Universität Düsseldorf where she completed a PhD in heterocyclic chemistry and fluorescent dye synthesis in the group of Thomas J. J. Müller. She then moved to the lab of Mike Haley at the University of Oregon as a postdoctoral fellow to study extended polycyclic hydrocarbons. Charlotte joined Wiley-VCH in 2016 as Assistant Editor in the EurJOC and EurJIC joint editorial team. She was appointed Deputy Editor of EurJOC in 2019 and took on the role of Editor-in-Chief of ChemCatChem in 2021. In December 2023, she became a member of the Angewandte Chemie executive committee responsible for brand development.
